Here are a few tips I have for you regarding how to care for your skin at this time of year:
1) Do not apply a facial mask for longer than 30 minutes. Facial masks applied for longer than 30 minute will actually start to work to dehydrate skin.
2) You cannot apply a mask everyday. This will tire your skin and make it look older.
3) When choosing a mask, try to find one that works well with your skin. I often like to apply a bit of the cream from a mask to my inner eyebrow to see whether or not the chemical make-up of the masks works well with my facial skin. Masks should never feel irritating, itchy or burn.
4) After finishing your mask, be sure to moisturize your skin as usual. Personally, I like to lightly wash my face after a mask before applying my regular face cream.
5) Happiness is the key to radiant skin (really, this is not a lie!) You have to try to be happy everyday. This will help relax your body and make your overall appearance younger.
6) Here is a secret face cleansing exercise that is a natural exfoliant. Boil an egg. Then peel away the egg white. Discard the yolk. Crush the egg white with your fingers and rub it on your face. It will feel rubbery and uncomfortable at first but soon you will feel its natural healing powers. Following this, wash your face. This is a technique that can be used once a week.
