Asian rice soup that is great for your skin (easy to make)

In ancient China, this soup was used to keep skin smooth and supple and it can do wonders for your complexion as well!  But you will need to get a specialty item (available in your local Chinatown).  The item is peach blossoms (go to the Chinese store are show them these characters:  桃花).

To make the soup, you need to make rice porridge, which is done by cooking rice as you normally do but with much more water.  So if you normally cook rice at a 1:2 ratio with water, change this to roughly 1:6.  Rice porridge takes much longer to cook than normal rice (perhaps around an hour or so).  When the rice porridge has finished cooking, add a few peach blossoms and continue to cook the rice for ten minutes, stirring the peach blossoms in.  Remove from heat and serve.
Enjoy your new, smooth skin!
