How Asians keep the exterior of their eyes looking beautiful (secret!)

Cold weather can really cause eyes to become dry and bloodshot. So this means we have to pay more attention to our eyes and the skin around them in winter (however, summer care is important, too!)
Every night before bed, massage the skins around your eyes with a high quality eye cream. In winter, your eye cream should contain a light amount of oil to help keep the skin around your eyes moist. In summer, you can use an eye cream that is more water-based than oil-based. This is because the summer often causes light sweating (even in us ladies) and an oil-based moisturizer could lead to slight skin clogging if you are also sweating.
To massage your eyes:
Dab a bit of eye moisturizer onto your index fingers. Start in the inner corners of your eyes and move outward along the underside (where bags typically develop). This motion should be done lightly to help move accumulated liquid outwards from the eye. When you arrive at the outer corners, move along your upper eyelids back in towards the inner corners of your eyes. Repeat this motion for several minutes.
If you work in front of a computer, a proper eye massage regime should be carried out every hour.
At least twice a week, you should be applying eye masks. If you don’t have access to this, use slices of cold potato or cucumber (however, I strongly recommend a good eye mask as getting results from potato and cucumber can take ages!)
When applying makeup, be very light in your actions. When using makeup remover, never press or scrub your face too harshly.
Always wear sunglasses when outside that cover all parts of your eye and the surrounding skin.
Crying is very healthy for your eyes, so be sure to have a good cry often. Crying will wash out your tear ducts and help prevent build up of impurities in your eye area. However, do not cry longer than 15 minutes as this will begin to irritate your eyes and cause them to become puffy, swollen and filled with blood.
